NORTH KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
A small city
with a city beat.
North Kansas City is an independent city in Clay County, just north of the Missouri River and downtown Kansas City. Its compact footprint creates a home search with a distinctly urban rhythm: a classic early street grid, mixed-use corridors, parks, civic amenities, and a close-in Northland location.
Housing can include 1920s-era bungalows, smaller established homes, newer traditional-neighborhood construction, attached options, and urban infill near Swift Street and the city center. Because a limited number of homes trade each month, the property’s condition, updates, location, lot, and current competition merit address-level attention.
Compact inventory
A smaller city means the right comparable home may not arrive often. Live data and clear priorities help sharpen the search.
Old and new
Classic bungalows, newer traditional homes, attached choices, and redevelopment context can all share a close-in search area.
Parks and paths
Macken Park and other city green spaces add another element to the North Kansas City setting; verify access from any home.
Small market. Live search.
This is the planned home for North Kansas City’s live Lofty IDX results. Let buyers filter
active homes by price, beds, baths, home type, condition, and the features that matter in a
compact, low-inventory market.

CURRENT TREND
Very competitive—yet a few homes can meaningfully shift the monthly data.
Over the three months ending August 2026, it reported a $279,815 median sale price, 15 August sales, and a 25-day median time on market. A Heartland MLS summary for the first half of 2026 recorded 16 closings at a $327,950 median, roughly 2.3 months of inventory, and six actives in mid-July. Four homes were shown on Redfin October 1. These are distinct timeframes and sources, not interchangeable measures.
